A tragic incident caused horror at the train station in Ramsberg, Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district, at the end of June. On June 21, 2025, around 9:30 p.m., there was a fatal knife attack during a dispute between two groups of young people, in which a 15-year-old was injured and died at the scene. The police reported that the investigators are currently looking for important witnesses and are asking them to call 0911 2112-3333.
After the 19-year-old suspect, who lives in Nuremberg, was arrested, it turned out that she already had several entries in the educational register for violent crimes and violations of the weapons law. She has been in custody since June 24th. An arrest warrant was issued for her and all previous cases against her under juvenile criminal law were dropped. The incident escalated from an argument over a cigarette and ended in a fatal stabbing that left the victim dead due to an air embolism in a vein explained the Bayerische Rundschau.
Background of the dispute
The exact reason for the dispute is currently unclear, but there are suspicions that offensive statements with a xenophobic background may have been made. The two groups that met during the altercation did not know each other and each consisted of three to eight people. While the 19-year-old accused and her group came from Nuremberg, the victim had German and Brazilian roots and lived in the region according to the report from Infranken.
The police have continued to investigate the background and motives of the crime. The suspected murder weapon was recovered near the crime scene. First aid and resuscitation by the alert patrol officers could not save the 15-year-old victim's life. It is shocking how quickly an argument between young people can turn into such cruel violence.
On the day of the incident, a music festival was taking place at nearby Brombachsee, but according to current information it is not connected to the violent act. The investigators are doing everything they can to clarify further details and are continuing to look for witnesses to shed light on the matter.
