Big Xletix Challenge at Kronthaler Weiher: This is what you need to know!
On Saturday, July 19, 2025, the popular Xletix Challenge will take place at the Kronthaler Weiher leisure area in Erding. With up to 7,500 participants, 2,000 more than last year, the event promises to be a real highlight in the region. An exciting day with numerous challenges and obstacles will be on offer from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The event not only attracts sports enthusiasts, spectators also get their money's worth. But be careful: Due to the large number of participants, there may be traffic delays around the Kronthaler Weiher and the Volksfestplatz. The city buses on route 528 will not stop at the bus stop in the parking lot. The organizer has confirmed that the large number of people in the area do not allow driving.
Obstacles for each level
The Xletix Challenge offers different distances that are perfectly tailored to different abilities and preferences. Participants can choose between the “Fun” distance of 6 km with 15 obstacles, the “Adventure” distance of 12 km with 25 obstacles and the more challenging “X-treme” distance of 18 km and 35 obstacles. Particularly new are the obstacles such as the “Devils Domino”, a pole obstacle, and the “Balance Buddy”, where the participants have to cross a triangular obstacle together. If you want to make life easier with difficult tasks, you can replace some obstacles with 15 “burpees”.
As far as the route is concerned, participants can look forward to muddy passages and crossing water. An important point is the water supply: participants can refresh themselves and regroup their strength at seven supply stations. To be as prepared as possible, the organizer recommends using sunscreen, especially on hot days. For those looking to cool off, the nearby swimming pool is a wonderful alternative.
Parking options and arrival
There are some parking spaces for visitors, but these are very limited due to the event. Parking is prohibited at Melkstatt, Eittinger Straße and Hacken. However, guests who would like to visit the outdoor pool can use the reserved parking spaces at the swimming pool and behind the ice rink.
Obstacle races like the Xletix Challenge are becoming increasingly popular. These events are not only a sporting challenge, but also an experience for the whole family. The participants not only experience the competition, but also a communal atmosphere. Whether in a team or alone, the challenges are diverse and exciting. Last year there were true adventurers who took up the challenge and had a special experience on the slopes. And of course there are not only extreme runs, but also family-friendly events that are offered in many cities.
It is advisable to register in advance to secure a place in good time. So, off to the Xletix Challenge at Kronthaler Weiher! And if you're wondering what the best prerequisites are for being successful in such competitions, you should rely on a combination of endurance and strength training Runners World is recommended.
