The marquee is up: the anticipation of the Landau Folk Festival begins!

Happy conviviality and Bavarian tradition are just around the corner, as the Landau Folk Festival is fast approaching. In two weeks, from June 27th to July 2nd, 2025, the city invites its citizens and visitors to immerse themselves in the colorful hustle and bustle. The festival site has long been prepared, as the local newspaper reports: The construction of the festival tent by Obermeier carpentry is well underway and all work is well on schedule. Installations have already been made and festival host Georg Schachtner is excited to show off the newest bar area in the tent.

Tradition meets modernity

Under the motto “Living tradition with the courage to change”, the folk festival will once again be a special highlight in the region’s event calendar. The preparations are not only a challenge, but also a joy for everyone involved. This year the route of the folk festival parade from the lower Sparkasse to Harburger Straße was changed because the Isar Bridge is closed. A concert by the bands on the tartan track of the sports grounds will also provide musical accompaniment to the start of the festival.

• Freitag, 27. Juni: Festlicher Auszug um 17:00 Uhr, gefolgt von einem Standkonzert und der offiziellen Eröffnung um 18:00 Uhr. Ein besonderes Highlight wird das große Brillantfeuerwerk um 22:30 Uhr sein!
• Samstag, 28. Juni: Ab 13:00 Uhr Festbetrieb mit musikalischen Darbietungen der Bands Helmut und Otto sowie der Edelweiß Buam.
• Sonntag, 29. Juni: Der Tag beginnt traditionell mit dem Festzelt Boxen und endet mit einem Auftritt der Stadtkapelle Landau.
• Montag, 30. Juni: Ein Seniorennachmittag mit einer besonderen Bierzeichenvergabe für Bürger ab 65 Jahren.
• Dienstag, 01. Juli: Familiennachmittag mit ermäßigten Fahrpreisen und einem Kasperltheater, was besonders bei den kleinen Besuchern gut ankommt.
• Mittwoch, 02. Juli: Der Volksfestausklang wird mit der Band Herb‘n Beets gebührend gefeiert.

In addition, Graf Arco's festival beer will be served for the first time, which perfectly complements the traditional selection. The organizers are sure that this year will be a great success with the new tent look and the tried and tested festival host.
