On Edmund-Hornung-Strasse in Schweinfurt, brazen thieves gained access to the basements of several apartment buildings over the weekend and stole four high-quality mountain bikes. The police have not yet managed to catch the perpetrator, who struck unnoticed between Saturday, 8 p.m. and Tuesday, 12 p.m. The damage is estimated to be in the lower five-figure range, so a decent deal was made here.
