The likeable 40-year-old, who recently celebrated his third world title in Palma de Mallorca, where other motorcycle world champions serenaded him, has gained experience from 20 years in professional sport. He is the only German to have won a Grand Prix. His successes shine even more clearly when he is considered the world's best long-distance driver Speedweek holds on.

New chapter in the workshop

In order to pursue his passion for motorsport, Martin Smolinski has opened a new workshop with a whopping 400 square meters in Gernlinden. Under the name “84 Smolinski Performance” he not only dedicates himself to engine tuning, but also passes on his knowledge to others. With one employee and two mini-jobbers, he has gathered a team around him to stay active in the exciting world of track sports.

But his heart doesn't just beat for screwing. As the newly elected chairman of MSC Olching, Smolinski offers training camps for young people and already has plans to organize similar offers at MSC Abensberg. Smolinski is proud of the club where he began his career and is enthusiastic about his new role.

Not only is the World Cup hat-trick on the agenda for the coming season, his son Ludwig, who is already showing interest in motorcycling at the age of five, could soon follow in his father's footsteps. On Easter Sunday, Martin Smolinski is ready for his first race at the Easter Speedway in Pocking, which he is eagerly awaiting.
