The Haarer Volksfest is in the starting blocks and promises a lively premiere as a city event. From June 26th to 30th, the circus meadow will be the setting for happy celebrations where the citizens of Haar can properly celebrate their city and their community. The opening will take place on Thursday, June 26th, at 5 p.m. by Mayor Dr. Andreas Bukowski, who lets the first beers flow with the traditional tapping of a barrel from the Hofbräu Munich. The folk festival will have a lot to offer for young and old. With a varied program in the festival tent and on the circus meadow, there is something for every taste. Brass music and party bands such as Take Five and the 089 Band provide the musical accompaniment, while the rides - including bumper cars, chain carousels and children's carousels - provide the necessary thrill. A colorful program for everyone

The program of the Haarer Volksfest is diverse and promises exciting highlights. On Friday, the music school's three bands will liven up the festival tent with their music from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., before the well-known Oktoberfest band Take Five brings the tent to life from 7 p.m. Saturday, June 28th, will be rounded off with the awarding of the city shooting king and an auction of community relics in the festival tent. It will also be festive on Sunday, June 29th. An ecumenical service in St. Konrad Church at 10 a.m. opens the day. In the afternoon there will be lively competitions, including a tug of war, which will challenge the participants to great sporting achievements. The crowning conclusion of the folk festival is the seniors' afternoon on Monday with entertaining brass music and a cattle drive, which is celebrated with DJ Rainer Mund until 10 p.m.

Operations in the marquee and the showmen will be open until 11 p.m. every day, while bar operations will last until 1 a.m. from Thursday to Saturday.
