It looks like the planned meeting place could be a long -lasting solution to promote social interaction and increase the quality of life in the neighborhood. An integrated urban development concept (ISEK) from 2009 had already emphasized the need for a neighborhood center in Burg. It is all the more pleased that steps to implement are now initiated.

As part of the investment package "Social Integration in the Quartier", a funding program of the Federal Ministry of Building, such projects are particularly supported. The program is dedicated to creating places for education, encounter and integration. Between 2017 and 2020, 200 million euros were made available annually to maintain and expand social infrastructures in the living environment.
