On Thursday afternoon, there was a violent argument at Marienplatz in Bamberg, triggered by the suspicion of removing sunglasses. A 38-year-old man is said to have snatched sunglasses from a 21-year-old. When the younger man tried to get his glasses back, a tangible struggle developed between the two, in which the damaged t-shirt torn down.

The Situation continued to escalate when the police arrived. The 38-year-old continued to be aggressive and resisted the officials by locking himself physically. Thanks to the support of some passers-by, the 21-year-old was able to capture the accused until the police arrived. The aggressor was temporarily arrested and presented on Friday to an investigative judge, the arrest warrant due to attempted robbery, assault on enforcement officers and attempted assault. The suspect is now in custody.
