Wunsiedel celebrates Karl Valentin's strange humor in the Luisenburg ReStart
Things are getting colorful and weird again in Wunsiedel: the re-start of the Luisenburg series is an absolute highlight for all culture enthusiasts. Last week, Bele Turba and Johann Anzenberger welcomed the audience with a charming production that brought the nostalgic “Valentinaden” by Karl Valentin and Liesl Karlstadt to the stage. These works, created between 1908 and 1941, are full of bizarre humor and invite you to immerse yourself in times gone by. That's exactly what the artists did brilliantly: with nostalgic elements, such as the flair of old music records and the memory of punctual trains, the audience is taken on an amusing journey through time. According to Frankenpost, the program includes a total of twelve selected pieces that will make the audience smile.
What would an event like this be without musical accompaniment? For the next performance you can look forward to a special performance: the duo Alphorn & Bayan. With Carlo Torlontano on the alphorn and Massimiliano Pitocco on the button accordion, they create a connection that has existed for centuries. The two artists present a musical event that combines traditional and popular culture. The performance features both classical and contemporary music styles. Works by great composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonin Dvořák will be heard, providing a varied musical palette that will leave no ear untouched. This exciting event is announced by Luisenburg Aktuell.
A special experience for all visitors
A look at the ticket prices shows that everyone really gets their money's worth here: regular tickets are available for 30 euros, while schoolchildren, students and severely disabled people with a disability level of 50 or more can become part of the spectacle for just 20 euros. Additionally, the event lasts approximately 120 minutes, including an intermission, so no one has to scurry to the toilet or grab a drink of water while the performance is in progress.
The Luisenburg series has a lot to offer and promises to be a real cultural highlight. With a clever mix of humor, nostalgic memories and lively musical accompaniment, a visit is definitely recommended. So if you haven't decided yet, you should do so quickly - and look forward to a few entertaining hours in the heart of Wunsiedel!
