Two e-scooter drivers stopped under drug stress in Straubing!

In Straubing, the police recently caused a stir when two e-scooter drivers were stopped while under the influence of drugs. The officers checked the two men in the city center early in the evening. The police officers immediately noticed that the drivers were obviously not able to drive safely. An initial drug test confirmed the suspicion: both were positive for drug use.

As the Region current Reportedly, during the check the drivers were banned from continuing their journey while the investigation was directed against them. This is a clear appeal that the same traffic rules apply to e-scooters as in road traffic and that consideration and safety should not be neglected.

Dealing with drugs in traffic

“It is important to us to ensure road safety,” said a police spokesman. Unfortunately, this incident is not the first time that e-scooter riders have been caught under the influence of alcohol or drugs. These cases show that it's not just your own life that matters, but also that of others. In many cities, controls are therefore being tightened in order to put a stop to such dangerous journeys.

Although the introduction of e-scooters was an innovative step to promote environmentally friendly transport, it also brings with it new challenges. It is often said jokingly that we have to adapt to new technology, but we also have to revive old rules so that the roads remain safe. Road safety should not be taken lightly - even though things are often hectic these days.

Data protection in the digital age

A completely different topic, but no less important, is data protection on the Internet, especially in the context of cookies and tracking. On many pages we constantly come across cookie banners that ask us for our consent. It should be noted that not every website requires such consent. According to the information from the Privacy page, consent is not required if no sensitive data is being processed. For example, technically necessary cookies such as session management are generally exempt from this requirement.

On the other hand, however, it is strongly recommended that website operators be transparent about the use of cookies. This not only ensures user trust, but also avoids possible legal difficulties. The GDPR has clear guidelines when it comes to obtaining consent and they must be clear, understandable and transparent.

In a world where both road safety and data protection are increasingly in focus, the challenges we face every day are diverse. Whether riding an e-scooter or surfing the internet – a sense of responsibility and transparency should always come first.
