Straubing Tigers rely on talents: Brandl, Black and Seidl!
Straubing, Deutschland - The Straubing Tigers rely on young talents
The Straubing Tigers are optimistic about the coming season and rely more than ever on promising young players. Those responsible have announced that Linus Brandl (20), Tobias Schwarz (19) and Simon Seidl (18) remain in the squad. All three cracks had a funding license last season and played for the EV Landshut. Linus Brandl has already gained experience in the Penny del and thus brings valuable game practice. Tobias Schwarz was previously active in the U20 SM-Sarja for Kookoo, while Simon Seidl was already playing in the USHL for the Cedar Rapids Routhriders. "The experiences that the boys could gain are extremely valuable," said Jason Dunham, the sporting director of the Tigers, in a recent interview. The goal remains clear: the players should be supported on their way and get the chance to prove themselves at Penny DEL level.
When looking at the team, the players are happy about their further commitments. Linus Brandl is enthusiastic about the team spirit and his role in the squad. Simon Seidl wants to use the new season to develop, and Tobias Schwarz has decided to work hard to support the team as best as possible.
Funding license for young goalkeeper
The decision is just as important to give goalkeeper Klaus Hieronymus a funding license. The 19-year-old goalkeeper already completed his first training session with the DEL team on Friday morning. "His hard work and commitment to training at EHC Straubing should motivate other young players," emphasizes Manfred Lermer, the sports director of the EHC. Hieronymus not only convinced with his achievements in the U19 of the EHC, but also played games for the first team.
Changes in the system of funding license players
The regulations for the promotional license players in the Penny DEL and DEL2 will be revised from the coming season. The previous rule, which allowed each DEL2 club with only one Penny Del Club, fall. From now on, DEL promotional license players can be freely distributed between the DEL2 clubs. This makes it easier to find the location for the players and gives them more flexibility. In addition, the age limit for funding license players from U24 is reduced to U23, which means that younger talents are now increasingly being able to prove themselves. In order to be able to participate in the finals, the requirements for field players and goalkeepers remain.
The modification of the license regulations is considered a positive step by those responsible in order to further promote the development of young talents and to give the teams more scope. "The interaction between the clubs is particularly important to offer the players the best conditions," said DEL2 managing director René Rudorisch.
The Straubing Tigers look forward to the coming season and look forward to the new challenge in which young, versatile players will also play an important role. In the long term, the squad is to be further strengthened by the integration of talented players, from which fans and players benefit alike.
