The anticipation for the coming season in Lower Bavarian football is looking forward to the new season 2025/26, which begins on the weekend of July 26th and 27th. The 133 A class teams were now divided into ten different leagues in the Ost football circuit, including three 14 leagues and seven 13 leagues. This division is an exciting, but also challenging time for the clubs to set the course for the coming season. FUPA reports that a total of 133 teams are competed in the A-classes, which underlines the popularity of football in the regional space.
It should be emphasized that teams from Passau take part in two different A classes. The A-Class Passau will do without a relegation, while in the A-Class Rain and the A-Class Grafenau three teams have relegated from the district classes. This shows that the competition in the A-Class will be strong and the teams have to fight hard for success.

In the A-Class Straubing, 14 teams are on the schedule, with FC Aiterhofen and DJK Lelfing start the new season as a relegation. The development of the A-classes reflects the change in amateur football. When classifying the new leagues, the challenge for the BFV game leaders is to distribute the 32 district league teams and 28 East district league on two seasons.
