Art in Starnberg: 64 creative people enchant the Schlossberghalle!

On Wednesday evening the annual exhibition of the Starnberg Art Association was ceremoniously opened in the Schlossberghalle. A total of 64 artists present their works here and show the diversity and creativity of the region. Mayor Patrick Janik insisted on being present at the opening and highlighted the long artistic tradition in Starnberg. Admission to the exhibition is free, which offers the opportunity to experience local talent up close.

President Inge Klenk emphasized the creativity and courage of the artists involved in this project. It is impressive to see how different the works presented here are. Klenk also received feedback for the support of Richard von Rheinbaben, who particularly contributed to the presentation of Stephanie Marie Roos' work.

Diverse program

Visitors to the exhibition can expect a varied program. On Saturday, November 8th at 6:30 p.m. there will be a film and lecture entitled “Peggy Guggenheim – A Life for Art” given by Maria Lamp. A matinée concert with students from the Starnberg Music School is planned for Sunday, November 9th at 11 a.m. It continues on Monday, November 10th, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with an artist talk with Dieter Heinze. The newly introduced artists include Evelyn Bermayer with her large-format works “Optimism” and “Happiness” as well as Christine Faltermayr, who specializes in realistic nature images in small format. Professor Claus Friede brings nature into the art center with his photo series “Mystic Forest”, while Naomi Lawrence draws attention to an important issue of animal protection. Kerstin Mors fascinates viewers with her abstract acrylic paintings, and Shigeyuki Miyagawa surprises with a boat made of sawdust and bone glue.

A look at well-known names

Some well-known artists are also part of this annual exhibition. Matthias Schilling inspires with his humorous illustrations, while Ernst-Hermann Ruth takes up a current ecological topic with his work “Polar Melt”. Bia Wunderer impresses with her large-format textile works made of silk, and Andrea Naegele-Rehm shows impressive collages from glossy magazines. Particularly touching are the oil portraits of children created by Rosina Lamp, while Brigitte Hintze stimulates the imagination with her watercolors of glowing skies.
