On Sunday, June 29, 2025, the Steigerwald National Park invites you to an atmospheric garden party in the Klosterbräu in Ebrach. From 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., visitors can expect a colorful program that is equally interesting for young and old. In and around Schweinfurt reports on highlights such as live music, dance performances and a poetry slam. In addition, the honorary chairman of BUND Nature Conservation (BN), Hubert Weiger, will give a speech.
The motto of this event is: “Steigerwald National Park – a treasure for Bavaria and a great opportunity for the region”. The organizers would like to highlight the importance of the state's mixed beech forests and draw attention to the protection of these valuable natural areas. The event is supported by several partners, including the Steigerwald National Park Association, BUND Nature Conservation Bamberg and the Steigerwald National Park Friends' Circle.
A colorful program for everyone
The program for National Park Day offers numerous attractions: In addition to the opportunity to find out about the special flora and fauna of the Steigerwald at themed stands - including wild bees, birds and amphibians - there is also a diverse children's program. Here, the little ones can paint stones under guidance, guess how to carve bark or animal tracks and even try out stone carving.
The bands “Bauklötze marvel (BKS)” and the cult rock band “Don’t Ask” provide the musical entertainment. The Klosterbräu gastronomy ensures the physical well-being of the numerous guests. Don't miss the opportunity to spend a wonderful day outdoors with good food and great music!
Supporting program in the morning
There are already exciting offers in the morning: A forest excursion by BUND Nature Conservation starts at 10 a.m., which begins at Felsenkellerstraße 1 in Ebrach. Those interested can also take part in a guided bike tour from Bamberg to Ebrach at 10:30 a.m., which starts at the Babenberg Quarter/Fuchsenwiese car park.
