Drama at the start of the state league: Buckenhofen grabs the point!
In the colorful world of football leagues, the Nordost Regional League will keep its excitement high on July 20, 2025. The first games of the new season are already scheduled today, and fans can look forward to some exciting encounters.
SV Unterreichenbach and SV Buckenhofen fought an exciting duel, with the score at halftime being 2-0 for Unterreichenbach. But in the second half everything was suddenly different – Julian Friedhelm (49th) and Muiz Alli (51st) equalized. Ultimately the game ended with a 2-2, which was also the only point split on the first match day. SC 04 Schwabach, on the other hand, was able to celebrate: the team won the home game against TSC Neuendettelsau 3-0. TSC captain Simon Zenker didn't exactly play the main role; he received a red card, which severely limited his team's chances. Goals from Kevin Meyer (41st), Jonas Winkler (45th) and new signing Can Dedeoglu rounded off the clear victory.

The other teams didn't let up either. SC Feucht won 2-0 against Jahn Forchheim, with Jannik Kiebler and Florian Dietz scoring the decisive goals. SpVgg Mögeldorf 2000 played against TSV Buch and won 3-1. ASV Weisendorf was also successful and defeated Lauterhofen 2-0, with goals contributed by Tobias Geyer and Yannick Beuschel. There are two more games on the program on Sunday: SVG Steinachgrund meets Münchberg, while Ammerthal has to play against Weißenburg. The second match day will begin on Tuesday with five exciting encounters, including with SG Quelle Fürth in Unterreichenbach.
A look at the squad changes
But what makes the league so interesting this season? A lot is due to the new arrivals and departures that have changed the team significantly. SC 04 Schwabach has 15 new additions and 16 departures, with many coaches seeing the Schwabachers as potential favorites. Particularly impressive is Kevin Woleman, who confidently moved to the regional league and now wants to show his skills in Schwabach. On the other hand, Mettin Copier, Mergim Bajrami and Rafael Kobrowski are leaving the team. Copier will be the new assistant coach at TSV Buch, who can introduce some strong newcomers such as Simon Kreisel and Tarik Sormaz.
SV Buckenhofen now has a new coach on the sidelines, Markus Fischer, while Tobias Eisgrub can continue to lead the team as player-coach. Ammerthal, the newcomer, has great ambitions and has signed Anton Shynder, a former Ukraine international. FSV Erlangen-Bruck relies on a mixture of targeted reinforcements and their own youth players, while SpVgg Mögeldorf 2000 is considered a surprise team.
The new season of the Nordost Regional League promises not only exciting games, but also lots of surprises. Stay tuned when it comes to “experience football live”!
