After a successful year in which the team was able to win the championship in the Kreisliga 2 Regensburg, the association is now preparing for the new challenge in the district league Oberpfalz Süd. This is already the second rise of the association at the district level after being qualified for this league for the first time in 2011. However, a descent in 2012 led to the fact that you had to put your own ambitions back. The chairman Herbert Wolfsteiner notes that the conditions at that time for relegation were far more difficult than today, which only increases optimism for the coming season.

The goal is clear: relegation. Last season there were three relegation participants in the district league and a direct relegation. Thanks to a steady promotion - from 2022 to the district class, then to the district league and now to the district league - it will be anything but easy for SV Töging, but player coach summer exudes a certain confidence in the strengths of his team. "We worked hard and each of us is ready for the new challenges," he emphasizes.

An absolute highlight of the new season will meet the TSV Kareth-Lappersdorf, which played one of the last games in the Landesliga. "There is something!" Smart Wolfsteiner, who also emphasizes the derbies against Breitenbrunn and the proximity to Parsberg. Such games are always something special and bring additional motivation.

In order to start the season well, the association has also promoted its squad planning. With three talented young players from their own A-youth-Elias Ibl, Florian Reigl and Julian Eberl-and Louis Scherübl from ASV Batzhausen, a breath of fresh air was brought into the team. Thus, those responsible show a good hand with the integration of young players into the team.

The first three test games are already on the SV Töging plan. On June 21st you will meet ATSV Kelheim from the district league in Lower Bavaria, followed by a duel against SC Kirchdorf on July 6th and finally a meeting with TSV Greding on July 13th. In addition, the team takes part in the TSV Dietfurt 7-valley Cup on June 28th and 29th. These preparatory games will be crucial to test the form of the players and to achieve the necessary competition.

The start of the season is scheduled for July 20, even if the opponent has not yet been determined.
