Memmingen Fair 2025: A festival full of rides and enjoyment!
The anticipation is great! Today, October 11, 2025, the Memmingen Fair opens, which, with over 475 years of tradition, is one of the oldest and largest folk festivals in the region. Mayor Jan Rothenbacher will give the official starting signal on Westertorplatz at 11 a.m., accompanied by the Amendingen band, which will provide the appropriate musical accompaniment from 10:15 a.m. Festival visitors can look forward to a colorful program and numerous attractions that will be on offer over the next few days.
The fair will take place from October 11th to 19th, 2025 and has different opening times on all days: on weekends from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sundays to Fridays from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on weekdays from Tuesday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Around 80 showmen offer interesting rides, play stalls and the opportunity to indulge in culinary delights. There is definitely something for everyone here!
Attractions and rides
Westertorplatz is the center of fun with exciting rides such as the new “Predator”, a roller coaster with flips, and “Techno Power”, a popular circular ride. The feeling of adventure is also awakened in the “jungle camp” on four levels. Of course, classics such as the chain carousel and Dumbo children's plane should not be missing either. At Königsgraben, the Bavarian Gaudi carousel “Hupferl” is a must, while the 6D cinema provides interactive entertainment. St. Josef's Church Square attracts with the “Wilden Maus” and the passionate “Musik Express”. The “Phoenix” also provides action-packed rides and there is a nostalgic horse carousel in the Schweizerberg.
Of course, there are also numerous shooting, throwing and game stands as well as many snack stands that offer a selection of regional and international delicacies. A special highlight is Family Day on Friday, October 17, 2025, when ride prices are reduced, ensuring fun for the whole family.
Grocery market and Sunday shopping
Another highlight is the Krämermarkt, which takes place from October 14th to 16th, 2025. With over 90 vendors offering everything from homewares to ceramics to fashion and jewelry, this market attracts not only locals but also numerous visitors from the surrounding area. The colorful stalls stretch from the Roßmarkt via Maximilianstrasse to the Hallhof and offer the perfect opportunity to do one or two good deals.
On Sunday, October 12, 2025, all shopping enthusiasts have the opportunity to go shopping on the shopping Sunday in the city center from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The fair also places great emphasis on family-friendliness, so the selection of rides and stands is designed to delight young and old alike.
Parking options
Getting to the fair is easy as there are plenty of parking spaces available in and around the old town. The park-and-ride service is particularly practical and runs from large parking lots, such as the Magnet-Schultz and Metzeler companies, directly to the city center and back. So nothing stands in the way of a carefree visit to the festival!
