Tanja Dehler takes over the management of the Kronach tax office: New course!

The management team at the Kronach tax office has recently changed: Tanja Dehler has officially been the new head of the office since November 24, 2023. In a ceremonial inauguration, which was also attended by Finance and Homeland Secretary Martin Schöffel, her predecessor Günter Wolkersdorfer, who headed the tax office for almost 15 years, handed over management. Wolkersdorfer was recognized for his many years of commitment and retired.

Tanja Dehler has an impressive career in public service. After starting her civil service career in the Regensburg tax office, she held various positions, including heading a department in the Hof tax office and representing the administration in the Kulmbach tax office since 2009. Most recently, she worked in the Bayreuth tax office, where she took on similar areas of responsibility. She started as head of the Kronach tax office on July 24, 2025, and that means she has an exciting task ahead of her.

A transition with challenges

Especially in times of change, things couldn't be more challenging for Tanja Dehler. With a dynamic environment that often places new demands on the public service, she is committed to leading the Kronach tax office through these changes. There are many challenges, but Dehler is optimistic about the future and, with her many years of experience, has a good knack for the tasks ahead.

Finance and Homeland Secretary Schöffel wished Dehler every success in her new role and emphasized the importance of competent and future-oriented leadership. Pay in the public sector not only offers financial security through geometric salary increases with years of service, but also through additional benefits such as annual special payments and state pensions for civil servants. For many who work in finance, these aspects are crucial points for planning a long-term career and staying in service sustainably.

Collaboration and perspectives

Tanja Dehler is now setting out to further develop the Kronach tax office and will build on the existing infrastructure and the committed team. Public service brings a variety of benefits, including not only a family-friendly work environment but also secure jobs. These general conditions should not be underestimated, especially at a time when many labor markets are in transition.

The future looks promising, and Kronach can consider itself lucky to have an experienced and determined manager like Tanja Dehler at the helm of the tax office. The coming months will show how the changes can develop positively and how she tackles the challenges.
