Participate and experience diversity: Intercultural weeks are waiting for ideas!

The anticipation of the intercultural weeks in the Kelheim district is growing steadily! These popular events, which have been helping to promote coexistence and diversity for 50 years, will take place this year from September 21 to October 12, 2025. And registration for interested clubs, institutions, parishes as well as private individuals and companies runs until August 11, 2025.

The goal of this week? To make diversity visible, reduce prejudices and strengthen living together. Whether workshops, readings, music and art contributions or exhibitions- the possibilities for contributions are as diverse as the people who live in our region. Help with the implementation of ideas is also offered, so that everyone who wants to contribute to something can get involved. The Charivari reports that the registration is made via the Center for equal opportunities in the district office in Kelheim.

invitation to participate

Basically, this invitation is open to everyone in the district. The City of Kelheim invites clubs, cultural initiatives and private individuals to actively participate in the intercultural weeks. In addition to readings and workshops that are supposed to promote dialogue and respectful, sports offers, cook evenings and information events are also conceivable. Existing events in the campaign period can also become part of this colorful program.

Why is the whole thing so important? A study on the intercultural weeks underlines how relevant these events are for society. The Intercultural week helps to reduce barriers and to raise awareness of cultural diversity. It also shows that people with a migration background bring valuable perspectives into our society, but often face challenges in areas such as education and employment.

promote

Especially now that Germany is increasingly accepted as a country of immigration, it is essential to actively shape the exchange between old and new residents. After all, immigration not only brings challenges, but also opportunities! The idea is to achieve a greater understanding of one another through joint events and to expand social networks.

So now it says: register and become part of this community experience! Whether with great contributions or just as a visitor - the intercultural weeks are a celebration of diversity and coexistence, which should not be missed in any way. Take the chance to bring in and shape ideas!
