Landshut storms to the top: Bick with a brilliant performance against the Red Devils!

Things are going well in ice hockey: On November 16, 2025, EV Landshut took over the lead in the DEL2. After an impressive 6-2 win against the Lausitzer Füchse from Weißwasser, the Landshut team are now at the top of the league. A reason to celebrate for the fans! The Kassel Huskies also demonstrated their skills and lost against the Eispiren Crimmitschau with a 4:3 after a penalty shootout.

The Bietigheim Steelers also showed no mercy in the duel against ESV Kaufbeuren and ended the game with a clear 9:3. In contrast, the Kaufbeuren team experienced a bitter setback after conceding at least seven goals in the second game after the coach was released. The situation seems to be tense here.

Felix Bick shines in goal

Particularly noteworthy is Felix Bick, the Krefeld Pinguine goalkeeper, who scored his second shutout of the season in the game against Bad Nauheim. The 32-year-old saved a whopping 28 shots to secure a 1-0 win for his team, ending the Red Devils' winning streak. Adam Payerl was the only goalscorer for the penguins in the first third and secured Krefeld's success with his goal.

Sporting director Peter Draisaitl expressed his extreme satisfaction with Bick's contract extension for two more seasons and described him not only as a talented player, but also as an important leader within the team. In the last two seasons, Bick has already made 85 appearances, with a catch rate of 92.64% and a goals against average of 2.34, which makes him an indispensable part of the Krefeld Pinguine. “I am proud to remain part of this Penguins family,” said Bick, emphasizing the importance of victories for the team.

The race for the top position

EV Landshut and Kassel Huskies are currently level, with Landshut taking the lead due to a better goal difference. Goalkeeper Jonas Neffin from Eisbären Regensburg did the rest and showed an impressive defensive performance in the encounter against Starbulls Rosenheim, who were defeated 3-0.

Amid these exciting developments, it remains to be seen how the race for promotion will continue to play out. The leagues are highly competitive and every point can be decisive. Fans can look forward to many more thrilling games!

Things continue next weekend for the Krefeld Pinguine and the boys will give everything to improve in the table again. Who knows, maybe we'll see Felix Bick with another shutout soon?

It will be exciting to see how the next games turn out!
