Kaufbeuren's young farmer conquers hearts in the new calendar!
An exciting time lies ahead for 29-year-old Steffi Röttger from Kaufbeuren. Starting in October, she will be featured in the well-known Young Farmers Calendar, a publication that has received a fresh face in recent years. How Circle messenger reports, the young farmer's daughter moved to Höfen in Tyrol two months ago. She lives there with her boyfriend, who runs a farm with mountain sheep and chickens together with his parents. Steffi used her time here to raise her first chicken chicks - an experience that further opened her heart to agriculture.
How did this special involvement in the young farmers calendar come about? Steffi bravely applied online without any great expectations. “I never would have dreamed of it,” she admits. Their efforts paid off because the casting in Salzburg soon followed. After two weeks of tension, she received the acceptance and was already part of a photo shoot in picturesque Styria at the end of June. A total of twelve young farmers were photographed in various poses, with Steffi being particularly impressed by the professionalism of the stylists and assistants involved.
The young farmer calendar: A modern project
The young farmers' calendar has changed significantly in recent years. As project manager Philipp Knefz emphasizes, the team is now focusing on a youthful and attractive image of agriculture. The editor Franz Tonner emphasizes that the calendar has become a truly successful product from an earlier scandalous project. This new image appeals not only to farmers themselves, but also to a wider public who are interested in farming - a real win for the industry.
Steffi Röttger has already received positive feedback on the results of the shoot. “I’m excited to be part of this project,” she says. It is a sign that the connection between agriculture and youth can be strengthened again. “The calendar shows that agriculture is lively and fun,” those involved agree.
The calendar, which has caused a stir since its inception, protects its contents through copyright. Those interested can find out more about this on the calendar website youngbauernkalender.at, where important information about the use of the materials is provided. This applies to both the calendar and the images, which may only be used privately in order to protect the creative work of the photographers and editors.
Steffi Röttger is the best example of how young people can get into agriculture and break new ground. She lives the connection between tradition and modernity and shows that life in the country is anything but boring.
