The event is aimed at parents, grandparents and caregivers of children aged two to three years and aims to support the natural joy of movement of the children and to promote their motor development. The course instructor, Lina Meese, an experienced sports scientist, will lead on Wednesday, August 6th, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the creative design of movement and game ideas with everyday and natural materials.

The event takes place opposite König-Rudolf-Straße on the corner of Kurfürstenstraße in Kaufbeuren. Registration is required for participation by 01.08.2025 at the latest. For all interested parties there is more information on the Aelf Kaufbeuren website or by phone at 08341 9002-0. The importance of movement for children

The importance of movement for children has increasingly come into focus in the past 15 years. Medical and pedagogical specialists emphasize that movement not only plays an important role in individual health, but is also fundamental for the holistic development of the children. Studies show that the majority of children and adolescents in Germany are not sufficiently moving, which can lead to health problems such as negotiation damage and reduced fitness in the long term. According to bpb.de, movement for children under five years is central. It should include between 60 and 180 minutes to support their physical and mental performance.

It is important that children are looking for movement options independently. You gain knowledge and self -confidence about the act of playing. However, the social circumstances are often unevenly distributed - children from educational families often have less access to movement offers, which affects their development opportunities. In this context, not only educational institutions, but also parents are required to offer their children an active environment.

movement as the basis for learning

In early childhood, the importance of movement is not only shown in physical development, but also in the promotion of children's cognitive abilities. Movement supports concentration and helps to reduce tensions. Through playful activities, children experience social challenges that are crucial for their psychosocial development, as the basic health. Democracy and equal opportunities should also be anchored in the movement incentives so that all children have the same options for developing.

This is how responsibility lies with us adults to show the little one how much joy can give movement. Be there if it is on August 6th. Start and discover the play options in nature in Kaufbeuren! More information about the course offer and registration can be found here: Aelf Kaufbeuren.
