The driver initiated emergency braking, which subsequently led to a rear-end collision between the three vehicles. Fortunately, the two cyclists remained uninjured, while the soldiers in the vehicles sustained serious injuries.
Injured soldiers and deployment of rescue workers
A soldier who was sitting in the rear vehicle was seriously injured in the collision and was trapped in the driver's cab. Only the fire brigade was able to successfully rescue him, so that he was finally transported to the Murnau accident clinic in a rescue helicopter. The soldier's injuries are serious and his full recovery remains to be seen. Other soldiers between the ages of 18 and 37 only suffered minor injuries, reports Mercury.
