Anniversary year in Fürth: celebrate festivals, outdoor pool and pedestrian zone!

There is a lot to celebrate in Fürth in 2025! The year is filled with special anniversaries, including the 50th anniversary of the popular Grafflmarkt. This took place on June 25, 2023 and attracted many junk fans to the stands despite the changeable weather. Conversations about the treasures from Grandma's cellar accompanied the visitors as they pushed their way through the colorful tables to get one or two bargains. The weather had already been very hot the week before, but on Grafflmarkt day the sky was a little grayer.

Another highlight of 2025 will be the anniversary “70 years of the Fürth outdoor pool”, which will be celebrated on July 24th. This historic experience welcomes numerous visitors who want to enjoy the refreshing waves. And that's not all! The “50 years of the pedestrian zone in Fürth” is also celebrated with a colorful festival in September. To top it all off, a long shopping night takes place in November to attract people to the city center.

Diverse festivities in Fürth

Fürth has developed strongly in recent years, especially on the former barracks areas such as the Monteith Barracks and the Johnson Barracks. These areas have been transformed into lively urban districts. A look at the series of upcoming celebrations shows that the city remains lively: the farm festival is scheduled for July 19th, followed by the Michaelis-Kärwa from October 3rd to 12th and the traditionally popular apple market on October 19th.

The “Glanzlichter” on November 7th and 8th promise another spectacle that will bring the urban community together, while the Fürth Festival from July 11th to 13th will provide a platform for regional artists. In any case, the variety of events is complemented by the wine festival from July 24th to 27th, where not only fine wines but also the convivial atmosphere are very popular.

Another nice fact: There is no entry fee for all festivities, which means everyone has the opportunity to be part of the hustle and bustle. Whether at the Höfefest or the Long Shopping Night – there is definitely something for everyone here.

And don't forget: The construction site in Burgfarrnbach will be finished on July 5th! One more reason to explore the city, which has constantly transformed over the last few decades. All information about the festivals and other events can be found on the city of Fürth website.
