A serious accident overshadows the preparations for the popular Annafest in Forchheim. On July 12, 2025, around 6:20 p.m., a sales trailer got out of control during the construction and rolled down a steep road above the festival area. An 82-year-old man and his 75-year-old wife were seriously injured and jammed between the trailer and a nearby sign, such as the Bayreuther Tagblatt reported.

The sales trailer weighed about 1.5 tons and rolled an estimated 40 meters before it came to a standstill. Thanks to the quick reaction of first aiders, the couple could be released before the fire brigade arrived and brought to the surrounding hospitals immediately.
