Bathing fun guaranteed: Ebersberger lakes with very good water quality!

Ebersberg, Deutschland - Summer is there and the bathing season in the Ebersberg district is in full swing. The Health Office Ebersberg has taken a closer look at the water quality in the bathing lakes and can announce good news: the quality is "very good"! This means that bathers can easily plunge into the refreshing floods. The Kastensee near Glonn in particular can come up with almost 19 degrees of water temperature, which ensures a welcome cooling at warm outside temperatures. Regular water samples ensure that everything remains in the green area, such as Merkur reports.

The first water sample this season was taken in April, and since then there have been no striking values. Monthly rehearsals at two different places in the bathing lakes give certainty. Not only the water temperatures, but also the occurrence of Escherichia coli, enterococci and algae flowers are checked. These include the popular bathing opportunities such as the Klostersee in Ebersberg, the Bergfeldsee in Poing and many more.

cyanobacteria warn

While the bathing season has so far been undisturbed, the health department still gives a warning for the Klostersee. There could be increased values of cyanobacteria, also known as blue algae. These can cause health impairments, especially with longer skin contact or when swallowing the water. Therefore: swimmers should be careful in the water in visible streaks and take a shower after bathing to remove any residues. This message is brought to the point by the Süddeutsche Zeitung

Especially (small) children are susceptible to the dangers of cyanobacteria. The recommendation of the health department states that cautious handling of the bathing water is important: If you can no longer see the back of the foot in the water, it is better to do without swimming.

mindfulness for nature

Despite the water quality, there are also positive developments to report. Protected aquatic plants grow on the Klostersee, which contribute to improving water quality, such as the white water lily. The city has also taken measures to facilitate access to the lake by removing plant growth around the access.

In summary: The season can start, but it is still important to be careful. The recommendations of the health office are important to ensure that all bathers can enjoy the summer joys carefree. Whether right on the lake or at cooler temperatures - we enjoy the pleasure of the water!
