Deggendorfer SC: Preparation plan for the ice hockey season has been set!
The anticipation for the 2025/26 ice hockey season is increasing because Deggendorfer SC has published its preparation plan for the coming season. With a fresh coaching team led by Casey Fratkin, the hot phase of pre-season preparation will soon begin. The players will take their first steps at the CCM Cup in Crimmitschau, which will take place from August 22nd to 24th. Here the Deggendorfers compete against, among others, the Selber Wölfen and the Eispiren Crimmitschau, with the semi-final game against EC Bad Nauheim taking place on August 23rd at 2 p.m., as well [heimatsport.de].
After this first meeting, the big local tournament is on the program: The “Niemeier Haustechnik Cup” will take place on August 30th and 31st in the ice stadium on the Trat. The opponents will be the Starbulls Rosenheim and the Eisbären Regensburg – an exciting challenge for the team that wants to strengthen itself and present itself in top form. These preparatory tournaments are important in order to rehearse the moves and strengthen the chemistry in the squad, as the new season in the Oberliga Süd begins on September 19th, according to dsc-eishockey.de.
Test games against RB Hockey Juniors
In September there are two test games against the RB Hockey Juniors on the program, which will be played both at home on September 5th and away on September 7th. These games not only offer the opportunity to put young talent in the spotlight, but also to test the team's current performance level. The final test match will take place on September 13th against the Zeller Bären from the Alps Hockey League in the home stadium. A real hit that should give fans a foretaste of the upcoming season.
The Deggendorfer Schlittschuh Club e.V. has big plans. Looking at the past, it is interesting to mention that the Oberliga was the top division in German ice hockey for a long time. The current format in two groups – North and South – gives the teams numerous chances to prove themselves. After the regular round, the first places play for the championship and promotion to the German Ice Hockey League 2 (DEL 2), while the lower ranks have to compete in an interlocking round against the best teams in the Bayernliga in order not to be relegated, informs eishockey-statistics.de.
The fans can look forward to the first appearances of Deggendorfer SC with great anticipation. The new mergers in the team and the fresh impulses under Coach Fratkin promise an exciting season that should provide excitement and a lot of ice hockey fun. In 55 days the time has finally come!
