In this mild summer night, the Johanniuuer in the Cham, Altenstadt and Schorndorf region shone in full splendor and attracted numerous visitors. The celebrations around the Johanniuuer are an old tradition that has been lived since the Middle Ages. The festival usually takes place around June 21, when the solstice is celebrated. Especially the Johanniuuer in Altenstadt on the White Bridge was a real attraction. Mayor Martin Stoiber and the deputy Barbara Dankerl were on site to visit the traditional spectacle. The preparation team of the Altenstadt association ensured that everything was ready for the big party in the afternoon. But not only the adults were enthusiastic - the children also took part in a torchlight procession with ease, which was to finally ignite the fire.
