VfB Stuttgart rejects 40 million euros for Woltemade from Bayern!

The rumor mill about Nick Woltemade is bubbling. FC Bayern Munich recently submitted an initial offer for the 23-year-old striker to VfB Stuttgart. This offer amounts to 40 million euros, plus five million euros in possible bonus payments. But how SPORT1 reported, VfB Stuttgart quickly rejected the offer. The Swabians make it clear that they are not willing to simply let a player of Woltemade's caliber go.

The requirements from Stuttgart are clear: Bayern should put 80 million euros on the table to sign Woltemade. Incidentally, this transfer fee would set a new transfer record within the Bundesliga, which is certainly something that interests Bayern. After all, after Thomas Müller's retirement and Jamal Musiala's long-term injury, they have some pressure to take action and strengthen their offensive line. How Sports picture reported, there are already verbal agreements between Woltemade and Bayern about a possible change.

The situation at VfB Stuttgart

VfB sports director Max Eberl has publicly expressed interest in Woltemade and confirmed that he is being considered. “We have big plans for him,” said Eberl, indicating that they want to tie the player to the club in the long term. Coach Sebastian Hoeneß also has plans for Woltemade and sees him as an important part of the coming season.
Although the negotiations between the two clubs have so far been at an impasse, Bayern want to meet with VfB officials again to discuss the transfer, but this has so far been rejected.

Woltemade himself has a long-term contract with VfB until 2028 and has been nominated for both the U21 national team and the senior national team. These successes speak for his potential and therefore also for his value on the transfer market. So VfB remains steadfast and cannot be easily changed, while Bayern is feverishly working on a solution in the background.

A path full of obstacles

The negotiations over Woltemade's move show once again how tense the situation on the football market can be. Bayern now have to weigh up how much they are willing to invest to get a player they desperately need. Eberl and Wohlgemuth stand firmly behind their player and leave no doubt that Woltemade will continue to play on the Neckar.

Whether and how the situation will develop further remains to be seen. It is clear that both clubs are in a difficult negotiation phase. In any case, the Woltemade case remains exciting and could still cause a few surprises.
