Andreas Danzer wins the runoff election: New district administrator for Traunstein!
Andreas Danzer from the free voters may in future be the new district administrator of the Traunstein district. The run -off election last Sunday made clear information: Danzer, who received 54.6 percent of the vote, prevailed against his competitor Martin Lackner from the CSU, who achieved 45.4 percent. This gave the struggle for the voices and the tension of the past few weeks over, and the citizens have decided.
of around 145,000 eligible voters, however, only 31.3 percent took the opportunity to give up their vote. This turnout is comparatively low, considering that participation was even higher in the first round in June. At that time, Martin Lackner was at the forefront of 32.9 percent, while Danzer only achieved 20.1 percent. In total, nine candidates competed in the first round, with both protagonists qualified for the runoff election.
The way to the men's variant
Martin Lackner previously got involved in the election campaign, so Andreas Danzer - who is often perceived as a maker in public - can now lead the district's fortunes. The new election was necessary because the previous district administrator Siegfried Sebastian Walch (CSU) was elected to the German Bundestag. Walch has been in office since 2014 and would have continued his term until 2026. After his change, his deputy Josef Konhäuser took over the official business and waited for the outcome of the runoff election.
The election result will be officially determined tomorrow, on Tuesday, July 15th, at 9 a.m. in the Traunstein district office. This session is public and the results are finally confirmed there. Danzer is sworn in with the beginning of the new term on July 16 and a participation in the next meeting of the district council on July 18th.
a new wind in the district
In the past few weeks,Andreas Danzer has not only promoted his political perspectives, but also sought contact with the citizens in order to grasp their concerns as best as possible. In his new role as a district administrator, he will be challenged to represent the interests of the district and to determine the direction for the coming years. The election period of the district councils is basically six years, and the military service periods of the mandate holders can go beyond the election time of the local council or district council. So Danzer will also be prepared for the upcoming challenges in the district.
The results of the elections are recorded and published by the State Office for Statistics, which is responsible for the proper execution of the elections. Further backgrounds on the local elections in Bavaria will find interested parties on the website of the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior, for Sports and Integration. It is clear that the district of Traunstein has a new district administrator with Andreas Danzer that could bring a breath of fresh air to the administration.
