Digital club sports map: Starnberg connects athletes and clubs!
Do you play tango or do you love mountain biking? From now on it will be even easier for the citizens of the Starnberg district to discover the diverse sports landscape. Our Würmtal reports that the Starnberg district office has launched a digital “club sports map” together with the Bavarian State Sports Association (BLSV). This interactive platform offers a comprehensive overview of sports and shooting clubs in the region and is available at www.lk-starnberg.de/sportvereine.
The announcement was no coincidence. The aim is to make it easier for citizens, especially new residents, to find their way around the regional sports offerings. District Administrator Stefan Frey emphasized that this digital card is particularly important for the integration of new citizens and should help to further strengthen the sports community. “The card not only promotes social contacts and belonging, but also encourages people to become active,” says Frey.
Insight into the sports landscape
The new club sports map clearly shows the sports landscape in the Starnberg district. Like that Starnberg Post supplemented, the map enables clubs to present themselves and their offerings to a broader public. Whether it’s a football club, a shooting club or a dance school – there’s something for every sport.
BLSV district chairman Walter Moser emphasizes that the card also promotes social integration and health aspects of club sport. “This introduces people to the clubs, which massively advances local networking,” says Moser. Getting involved in a club can not only increase personal well-being, it also helps to strengthen the local community feeling.
Continuous updating and expansion
The offer is constantly kept up to date, and the operators of the card have decided to continuously expand the database. Information about short-term events or new club offers is updated regularly. Any club that is not already represented on the map can contact the email address sport@lra-starnberg.de if they would like to be included.
The digital club sports map is a further step towards making the lively sports culture in the Starnberg district more visible.
