Bergische Gartentour 2025: A paradise for plant lovers opens its doors!
Summer is finally here and with it the wonderful opportunity to discover the diversity and beauty of the gardens in our region. This year the invites Bergisch garden tour For the 22nd time, garden lovers and plant lovers are invited to walk through the gates to a variety of private gardens. On every Sunday in June and on some dates in July and September, visitors can experience the colorful garden landscape.
Things will be particularly exciting next weekend, June 15th. On this day, numerous gardens open their gates and show off their best side. These include the “Funeral Gardens” in Bergisch Gladbach, which with 85,000 square meters not only represent peace and contemplation, but also offer a wonderful place for nature lovers. Hildegard Tillmanns' garden, which covers 900 square meters, is also accessible on this day and promises an idyllic view.
More garden highlights
In Kürten-Olpe, Monika Schmid's garden awaits visitors. Orchards and rose beds flourish here on 2,000 square meters and can be admired on June 15th and again on June 29th. In Leichlingen, Kirsten Siefer opens her garden with a studio house, while Cornelia Schützke presents natural gardens in Wermelskirchen, which are accessible on June 14th and 15th.
But that's not all: the Roth Funeral Gardens in Bergisch Gladbach, the Schilcher Garden in Gummersbach and the Auerbach Garden in Hennef are also part of the program on this special weekend. All gardens are hand-picked and offer impressive diversity and originality reported becomes.

The Open garden gate Rhineland, which has existed since 2002, complements the Bergische Gartentour with its variety of gardens. The dates for the open garden gate are the 14th/15th. June, 12th/13th July and 20/21. September. In combination with the Bergische Gartentour, there are a wealth of opportunities to experience the floral splendor of the region up close.
