On Sunday, June 26, 2025, the well -known Pfaffenhofener Maria Bauer celebrated her 80th birthday. The jubilee, who was a member of the city council from 1972 to 1984, was surprised by Mayor Thomas Herker with the best wishes in the city. Maria Bauer, born Hausl and origin from Walkersbach, campaigned for the improvement in childcare during her tenure.
