An exciting July is just around the corner for all fire department enthusiasts! The Kaufbeuren Ostallgäu Fire Department Museum has come up with a lot of ideas to attract young and old alike. The museum opens its doors to visitors on two days this month. OnSaturday July 5th, you load from10 a.m. to 2 p.ma while onSunday, July 27th, the visitors of1 p.m. to 5 p.mbe welcomed.

Specialist conference and classic car meeting
Another highlight in July is the amJuly 10thsymposium held by the State Office for Non-State Museums in Bavaria. Everything here revolves around the topic “Security concepts in museum practice". In this context, practical strategies for security in exhibitions and museums are discussed. A must for everyone who is involved in museum work!
A week later, onSunday, July 13th, the museum team is also at the classic car meeting in Murnau. A historic emergency vehicle is presented there, complemented by an information stand that enables visitors to find out more about the collection and talk to experts.

For anyone who would like to learn more about the history of fire services, it is worth visiting the Bavarian Fire Brigade Museum, which was founded in Waldkraiburg in 2012 - only about 60 km east of Munich. On an exhibition area of around 4,500 square meters, it shows more than 150 years of fire brigade history and more than 100 vehicles, equipped with all sorts of interesting small exhibits such as fire brigade uniforms from the 19th century to modern LED blue lights. These exhibitions are not only a celebration for fire service enthusiasts, but are also exciting for families with children. Perhaps another incentive to embark on an exciting journey of discovery?
