Mühldorf Christmas Market 2025: Festive atmosphere and many highlights!

The Mühldorf Christmas market opened its doors on November 28, 2025 and promises to be a magical experience. The day before, November 27th, Mayor Michael Hetzl gave the first celebratory push for the opening of the market at 3 p.m. The festive event, which lasts until November 30th, attracts visitors from near and far and unfolds around the Haberkasten and the St. Nicholas Church.

With a total of 35 colorful stands, guests can expect a great variety. The Christmas atmosphere is very important here - from mulled wine to cinnamon, fried Bosna, bratwursts, cheese and soups to sweet temptations such as crepes and pastries. Hot chestnuts and tarte flambée are also available for those with a sweet tooth, both small and large. The continuation of the social gathering is rounded off with a selection of refreshing drinks, including coffee, punch and even mulled beer!

Entertainment for every taste

A highlight is the live nativity scene in the inner courtyard of the Haberkasten, which offers children the opportunity to pet and feed animals. Every day there are musical contributions from choirs, brass groups and the Mühldorf puppet theater. On Friday, November 29th, “Haberer and Druden” from Rottal will be on stage at 6:30 p.m., followed by a quintet from Salzburg on Sunday, November 30th, at 4:30 p.m.

Another integral part of the market is the Christmas tree sale for the benefit of the Mühldorf Relief Fund. Here, every purchase helps support the local community, which certainly adds to the Christmas feeling.

Special attraction in the city center

The aim of the entire event is to revitalize the city center and bring pre-Christmas flair to the city. The Christmas market is just one of two large events that Mühldorf hosts during Advent. The second is Old Town Christmas, which starts on December 4th and runs until December 21st, with stalls surrounding a mulled wine pyramid. Pre-Christmas delicacies are also offered here, and it is estimated that the romantic lighting makes the old town shine.

Mayor Hetzl reiterated the importance of these events for the local community and wishes visitors lots of fun and enjoyment while exploring the market.
