Volunteering Week: Get involved in Miltenberg on September 12th!
The week of civic engagement will soon be on the program in the Miltenberg district. From September 12th to 21st, the district would like to focus on the importance of volunteering. As the homepage of the Miltenberg district reports, voluntary commitment is indispensable in many areas such as sport, music, nature, culture as well as in social and societal fields.
During this week of action, all citizens are invited to take part in a variety of events. These not only increase the visibility of volunteering, but also offer the opportunity to become active yourself. Everyone can make their contribution, be it as a helper, as an interested person or by sharing their own experiences, for example through the campaign “Why my volunteer work is valuable to me…”. Those interested can send their contributions by email to honoramt@lra-mil.de.
Events and offers
The program is diverse and offers something for everyone. After the successful introduction of events in previous years, this year citizens can expect, among other things:
- Am Dienstag, 16. September, findet der erste Stammtisch für Vereinskassierer um 19 Uhr im Vereinsheim des TV Miltenberg statt.
- Am Donnerstag, 18. September, gibt es von 9 bis 16 Uhr einen Beratungstag SPEZIAL für Menschen, die ihren dritten Lebensabschnitt aktiv gestalten möchten. Einzelberatungen zu ehrenamtlichem Engagement sind hier möglich, eine vorherige Terminvereinbarung ist jedoch notwendig.
- Ein weiteres Highlight ist das Online-Seminar „Freiwillige vor! – Motivation für Engagement fördern“ am Freitag, 19. September, von 18 bis 20 Uhr. Hier lernen die Teilnehmer, wie sie Menschen für das Ehrenamt motivieren können. Eine Anmeldung ist erforderlich.
In addition, the week of civic engagement serves as a platform for exchange and networking. The initiative is known as the largest volunteer initiative in Germany and is committed to attracting new volunteers, celebrating successes and passing on knowledge.
