Ilse Aigner re-elected CSU chairwoman with 98.6%!
The district party conference of the Upper Bavarian CSU was held in Altötting on July 5, 2025, a remarkable occasion for the region's political actors. With bright sunshine and temperatures over 30 degrees, the members of the Miesbach district association were also in a good mood: 14 voting representatives were on site to set the course for the future direction of the party.
An important focus of the party conference was the re-election of Ilse Aigner. The President of the State Parliament received an impressive support of 98.6 percent and now continues to lead the fortunes of the CSU Upper Bavaria as district chairwoman. “The trust in Ilse Aigner is high,” said Alexander Radwan, district chairman and member of the Bundestag, and praised the district association’s commitment.
New and tried and tested in the district board
The new district executive was also elected. In addition to Aigner, Anian Bichlmaier was elected as an assessor on the board and Max Greinwald, who works as local chairman of the CSU in Hausham, was newly elected to the board. His election shows that new blood is needed to provide new impetus.
Michaela Kaniber (Minister of State), Kerstin Schreyer and the secretaries Julia Grote and Katrin Staffler are responsible for the representation. Other assessors such as Antonia Hansmeier and Martina Keßler add valuable experience to the management team. The entire list of elected members promises an exciting, colorful mix of proven forces and new faces.
Important speeches by Prime Minister Markus Söder and Federal Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt focused on the current political issues that are shaping the region. They highlighted the importance of the CSU as a strong political force in Upper Bavaria and discussed the necessary positioning for future challenges.
Strong involvement of women in politics
Another notable aspect was the commitment of women in the CSU, which was emphasized by Daniela Ludwig, chairwoman of the Upper Bavaria Women's Union. It is clear that women are taking an increasingly important place in the party and want to actively shape the region's affairs.
With the goals and the new leadership, the CSU in Upper Bavaria is ready to further develop its programmatic and personnel orientation. The district party conference in Altötting was not only an important event for the local political landscape, but also a sign of the future of the CSU, which wants to address the challenges with fresh momentum and great commitment.
