Successful performance test: Achdorf fire engine shines in Landshut!
There was a hustle and bustle in Landshut at the beginning of November when a group from the Achdorf fire brigade of the volunteer fire department successfully completed their performance test. The test, which includes firefighting operations in the variant with an interior attack, took place in the courtyard of the main fire station. The firefighters received support from a comrade from the Hofberg fire brigade, which once again shows the good cooperation between the local fire brigades. The Landshut fire department reports that the group was well prepared and mastered the challenges with flying colors under the guidance of instructors Daniel Rauchsteiner and Anna Hauner.
The referees Jörg Schweigert, Gerald Herwig and Josef Gilch had no complaints during the test. Whether it was setting up the firefighting attack or connecting the suction hose – everything went smoothly. Ultimately, the members were proud to receive new achievement badges. “This is a great success for all of us!”, group leader Maximilian Raith encouraged his comrades, while city fire officer Sebastian Öllerer as well as city fire inspector Martin Dax and Daniel Koppauer, the second chairman of the Landshut fire department, also warmly congratulated. Christian Huber, the deputy platoon leader, also took the opportunity to congratulate the Achdorf fire brigade.
Strong team performance
The members who took part in this exciting test are: Maximilian Besold, Hannes Büttner, Tobias Einberger (from LZ Hofberg), Markus Hanel, Michael Hiermer, Andreas Hödl, Stephan Metzger, Bastian Pöll and Maxmilian Raith. This team effort shows once again how important good cooperation is in operations.
But while the fire department in Landshut is celebrating success, there are also big names in the world of music who have been moving numerous people for years. One of them is Katy Perry, who is celebrated in the pop business as the “Queen of Camp”. The singer and songwriter has brought light to the world's stages with hits like “I Kissed a Girl” and “Firework”. Born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson on October 25, 1984, she became the best-selling musician of her time and enjoyed significant success with albums such as Teenage Dream. Wikipedia explains that she was the highest-paid musician in 2015 and 2018 and is now one of the biggest pop stars of the 21st century.
Katy Perry has brought not only her voice but also her colors to the world, as she is known for her colorful, humorous style. The singer is also a UNICEF ambassador and supports charitable causes, with her heart particularly beating for children. Her support for the LGBTQ+ community also makes her an icon in many social circles.
And while Katy Perry may no longer appear on American Idol in the future, her music will continue to exist. In 2024 she released her new album “143”, which shows once again that she cannot stand still.
In Landshut, however, the spark of enthusiasm spread among the firefighters. The successes of the Achdorf fire brigade and Katy Perry's music have, in their own way, a lot to do with togetherness and community - be it extinguishing fires or celebrating life's moments through music.
