Inclusive volunteer day: creative together in the Stone Age village of Pestenacker!
On June 2, 2025, the Stone Age village of Pestenacker fermented to a colorful meeting point, where people came together from different backgrounds and skills. As part of the inclusive volunteer days, organized by the coordination sites inclusion and volunteering of the district of Landsberg am Lech, all participants experienced an exciting day full of craftsmanship, team spirit and mutual understanding. Under the direction of Ms. Vokrouhlik and Ms. Schlecht, as well as in cooperation with Lejla Hasukić from Stone Age village, employees of the Hilti company and pupils from the Montessori School of Kaufering went to work in order to implement their creative ideas in pottery.
The event agreed well with the aim of bringing participants together with and without disabilities and reducing barriers. A special highlight was the production of clay shells according to the Stone Age tradition. The participants were actively involved in the processing and kneading of the clay in order to remove air bubbles and learn to learn to cut. The shells were not only shaped, but also burned in the open fire after drying, which gave the participants the opportunity to take their own everyday objects home.
practical skills and social integration
The manual skill of the participants came into play not only when pottery, but also when wicking willow fences. A lively group of Hilti employees and trainees from the Landsberg on Lech district office helped build fences to beautify the Stone Age village. The volunteers' commitment was refreshing and served as a model for community work.
The feedback from the participants was consistently positive, and the Landratsamt Landsberg am Lech was pleased with the lively participation in this event. Such inclusive volunteer days are not only a creative way to strengthen social bonds, but also a valuable contribution to society. Because as the Aktion Mensch , voluntary commitment plays a crucial role in the creation of inclusive networks and the equal participation of everyone.
sustainability and future prospects
The event was given by the project "Talent Decker in Volunteering" the Lagfa Bayern e. V. promoted and reflects the trend that such actions should be carried out regularly in the Stone Age village. The commitment of the participants can also ensure the sustainable effect of these projects beyond the first funding period. Voluntary engagement not only enables leisure and cultural offers, but is a key to social integration and promoting an open society.
The Stone Age village of Pestenacker not only remains a place of learning about early techniques and traditions, but also an example of a successful cooperation and promoting an integrative community.
