Kronach: VHS music ring starts with an exciting concert program 2025

The anticipation for the new concert season is growing: The VHS music ring Kronach has announced an exciting program for the months from September 2025 to March 2026. A total of four events will take place in the popular district culture room Kronach, which have a lot to offer both classical and jazz lovers.

The start on Saturday, September 20th at 7:30 p.m., the Ensemble Projects4Cello, also known as the four evangcellists. Under the motto "Potpourri on 16 strings", the audience can expect an evening full of classic sounds, including works by Puccini, Gershwin, Metzler and Mahler. The variety of the program

The second concert takes place on Friday, November 14th at 7:30 p.m. and leads the audience into the world of chamber music with the Chamber Orchestra of the University of Bamberg. Under the direction of conductor Wilhelm Schmidts, the talented soloist Hedi Yang, a winner of the Thomann competition and the Fritz-Gerber Award, will enrich the concert with a piece for Marimba and string orchestra of Séjourné. In addition, a particularly touching string quartet from Beethoven, which was edited by Mahler, will be on the program.

For lovers of wind music, the Ensemble Blech-10 under the direction of Lahnor Adjei will be heard on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Under the title "From Bach to Big-Band", visitors can expect a varied program that ranges from Bach to Humperdinck to film music from "Pearl Harbor". Here the bridge is beaten between baroque sounds and modern rhythms.

The final concert will take place on Friday, March 13th at 7:30 p.m. and is designed by the Blue Moon Swingttet. Here, too, the audience can look forward to an exciting program that illuminates the development of jazz, with works of greats such as Gershwin, Ellington, Goodman and Brubeck. It will be a great end to the season that impressively reflects the variety of music.

The ticket prices are fairly designed. For a subscription to all four concerts, adults pay 57 euros, reduced only 28.50 euros for severely disabled people.
