Young referees in Bad Tölz: trained for the future of football!
From June 19th to 22nd, 2025, an instructive training course organized by the Ingolstadt referee group took place in Bad Tölz. Fourteen young referees made the exciting journey to the youth hostel, where a varied program awaited them. The teaching team, consisting of Jan Feil and Pascal Lau, ensured that the participants not only better understood the rules of football, but were also able to take their own refereeing skills to the next level.
The program included various inputs, exchange opportunities and team building activities. In addition to rule and conformity tests, the young referees were trained in lectures on topics such as cleverness, training science, tactics, positional play and rule changes. The guest lectures from two experts in their field were particularly exciting.
Insights from the professionals
Maximilian Hafeneder, an experienced referee in the youth academy, shared his impressions from the Junior Bundesliga environment.
