What could be better than celebrating a new beginning? In the Haßberge district, parents who give birth to their baby in the Haßberg Clinics in Haus Haßfurt can now look forward to a very special welcome gift: you will receive a voucher for a free fruit tree. This beautiful gesture is presented together with a congratulatory letter from the district administrator directly in the maternity ward. The selection of fruit varieties is colorful and diverse: from the classic “Jakob Fischer” apple to the delicious “Deliciousness of Charneu” pear, the sweet “Sunburst” cherry and the interesting “Constantinople Apple Quince” – there is something for every taste.

However, parents should note that vouchers must be submitted by August 31, 2025. Children born between February 15 and August 14, 2025 are affected. So that the fruit tree can soon be planted in your own garden, the pick-up dates for the trees are set for October 9th (from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and October 10th (from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.). The trees are picked up at the district building yard on Uchenhofer Straße in Haßfurt.
In addition, the district advisory service will be on site and offer professional plant pruning as well as valuable tips on tree care. If you have any further questions, please contact the Horticulture and Land Management Department at the Haßberge District Office on 09521/942623.
Excellent birth support in the Haßberg clinics
The Haßberg Clinics in Haus Haßfurt are not only known for their fruit tree vouchers, but also for their excellent maternity ward. Here you will find a family atmosphere paired with personal attention from an experienced team of midwives, nurses and doctors. The aim is to ensure a pleasant time for expectant parents, and the team attaches particular importance to a gentle, family-oriented birth.
The modern delivery rooms are spacious and offer a quiet, private atmosphere - supported by subdued lighting, music and aromatic scents. Mother and child are cared for by a midwife who also offers alternative methods such as acupuncture or homeopathy. If wishes regarding the birth position or relaxation techniques are expressed, these will be taken into account.
Safety is the highest priority, which is also demonstrated by monitoring the child's heart sounds and maternal vital parameters. Together with a competent team of doctors, the clinic ensures that we can respond promptly even to possible risks.
After birth, special attention is paid to the “bonding” between parents and child, and the option of rooming-in ensures that the family can stay together. Family rooms are also available for individual care, and the new parents are supported in preparing for the time after their hospital stay.
The Haßberg Clinics not only take care of the birth, but also the well-being of the family throughout the entire stay. Parents enjoy a daily breakfast buffet and can look forward to extensive care - be it breastfeeding, infant care or organizational issues, such as photo shoots in the hospital.
A total of 26 beds and 15 children's beds are available in the department, which means that around 1,200 inpatients and newborns as well as over 600 outpatient procedures are cared for every year. All of this shows that the Haßberg clinics are an excellent choice for families who are looking forward to a new phase of life.
