Cycling rally inspires Garmisch-Partenkirchen: Discover the region!
What a day for all cycling enthusiasts! Today it has European Mobility Week has reached its peak, and the joy is clearly noticeable in Werdenfelser Land. The campaign has been running since the beginning of the week and is actively supported by numerous municipalities in the Oberland. For everyone who likes to explore the surrounding area on two wheels, the big event “Radl-Rallye – Discover Garmisch-Partenkirchen on two wheels” is on the program.
The rally starts today at 3 p.m. at Richard-Strauss-Platz. From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., individuals or entire teams can take a closer look at the most beautiful corners of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Along the way, tricky puzzles and exciting questions await participants, who can demonstrate their knowledge of cycling and environmentally friendly mobility. Prizes such as shopping vouchers and attractive non-cash prizes provide additional incentive. However, if the weather turns decidedly bad and it rains all the time, the event will unfortunately be cancelled, but this is not to be expected given the current forecasts, according to the organizers.
An additional offer for seniors
Particular emphasis is also placed on the needs of older people as part of the mobility week. A free bus training session will take place today at 2:15 p.m. at the district office's vehicle registration office. This offers the opportunity to find out more about using public transport and to feel safe when traveling in old age.
The goal of the Mobility week is to present innovative transport solutions and promote sustainable transport in everyday life. The initiative is intended to help people learn more about the various options for getting around in an environmentally friendly way and also discover the region at the same time. Especially these days, addressing sustainable mobility is more important than ever.
