During the team ranking in this discipline, the Viernheim 1 team, consisting of Jürgen Köhler, Günther Kühlwein and Hansjörg Obenauer, showed outstanding achievements with 63 goals and thus first place. The Fürther SV secured second place, while the Viernheim 2 team won third place with 58 goals.

The Viernheim shooters also shone in competition with the Steinschlossflinte. Stefan Burk again took first place in the individual ranking, followed by Gerhard Lang and Jürgen Köhler from Viernheim. In the team ranking, the teams from Viernheim 1 and 2 also performed excellently. Team 1, consisting of the same shooter as in the other discipline, became first, while Team 2 achieved second place.

The performance of the Viernheim shooters are not only due to a good hand, but also to years of experience. Many of them have perfected for years in dealing with mesh weapons.
