On Friday, July 16, 2025, a 76-year-old driver from Türkenfeld found herself in a tricky situation when she discovered a wasp while driving.

The woman was driving her Toyota towards the inning when she was suddenly distracted by the small insect. In a panic, she crossed into the oncoming lane. An 18-year-old driver from Fürstenfeldbruck who was approaching her in his Audi had to react quickly to avoid a head-on collision. With a courageous evasive maneuver he swerved onto the grass verge, but lost control of his vehicle and ended up in the ditch. Fortunately, both drivers remained uninjured, even though the young man's car suffered material damage of around 2,000 euros, as Merkur reports.

An unexpected incident
