Puchheim wins again: District Fürstenfeldbruck cycles for the climate!

In the Fürstenfeldbruck district, the bicycle boom is no longer to be broken, and this is impressive at this year's city cycling. From 04 to May 24, 2025, the citizens took part in this international campaign of the Climate Alliance for the twelfth time. The pedals pressed a total of 5,072 people who came together in 225 teams to achieve milestones for climate protection. At the end it was proud that the cycling participants made the impressive route of 813,898 kilometers, which gave them about 133 tons of CO2. In this way everyone was able to set a strong sign for sustainable mobility together.

The city of Puchheim was able to win the district hiking cup again, with an impressive average number of 9.44 kilometers of bicycle kilometers per inhabitant. Alling followed him on his heels with 6.71 km, followed by Olching at 4.56 km per inhabitant. Anyone who cycled more than 100 kilometers during the campaign weeks has the chance of great prices in a raffle. These prices include four annual memberships of the ADFC FFB, six stand air pumps with manometers and waterproof bike bags. The winners will be announced in the coming weeks.

a brilliant start with many highlights

One of the special highlights of the city cycling was the ceremonial kick -off event, which started with an exciting star trip to Grafrath. On this tour, numerous citizens from various municipalities were welcomed who wanted to set an example together. A joint lunch break in the forest adventure center ensured sociable get -together and exchange about the experiences on two wheels. A schnitzel hunt that took place as part of the campaign also delighted the participants and provided additional fun.

The commitment of four city cycling stars who lived car-free for 21 days should be particularly noteworthy and thus raised awareness of sustainable mobility. The Puchheim grammar school stood out with a total mileage of around 85,000 kilometers and thus ended up in first place in the schools in the district, followed by the Gymnasium Olching and the Graf-Rasso-Gymnasium Fürstenfeldbruck.
