Siegfried, now 91 years old, was born in Ostermünchen, but came to Fürstenfeldbruck at the age of three. He told the challenges of the end of the war and how his knowledge of English, which he acquired at the time, helped him to communicate with American soldiers and to organize meal packages for his family. The entrepreneurial skills and familiarity with the English language were of essential importance in his youth for Siegfried.
