Freising tackles it: Design the green future with us!
The city of Freising faces an important step towards the future and is looking for the active support of the citizens: inside. In the coming weeks, two future workshops will be offered, which deal with both energetic renovation and sustainable mobility. These events aim to further develop the city's climate protection concept and invite everyone interested to actively participate. The first workshop, "Modernize Klimafit", takes place on July 1, 2025 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the large meeting room of the town hall. Here it is discussed how to make living and work rooms more energy-efficient. If you want to participate, you can register at klimaschutz@freising.de, a meal is provided.
On July 9, 2025, the second workshop entitled "What moves us?". Here is the focus on the results of the 2025 mobility survey and the development of sustainable mobility ideas. In advance, prior registration is also required for this event and the physical well -being is taken care of. These workshops offer a great opportunity to develop new ideas and to discuss initial measures for the climate protection concept, as the Freising
The energy transition is directly related to the goals of these events. The aim is to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 in order to limit the global increase in temperature to a maximum of two degrees Celsius. The building sector plays a central role in this, since about a third of greenhouse gas emissions come here. According to Energie-Expert , a reduction in emissions could be necessary by up to 95 % to counteract catastrophic climate impacts.
A look at the current living situation in Germany shows that about 75 % of the old buildings were built before the first 1979 thermal insulation regulation. The savings potential through energetic renovation is enormous because many buildings are energetically inadequate. The focus of the discussions should be the exchange about modern heating techniques and renewable energy sources. Citizens: Inside Freising, they can contribute valuable ideas and suggestions by participating in the workshops.
But the challenges are not only to be seen locally. At European level there are massive problems in dealing with energy costs and a large number of "low -energy" households. It is estimated that up to 10 % of Europeans are affected by high energy costs, which leads to a critical situation in some regions. These circumstances make it clear that measures for the energy transition are urgently needed. The Energy transition brings with it many positive developments, but there is also criticism.
Overall, the upcoming future workshops in Freising show that the city pulls together to find climate -friendly solutions. Citizens: Inside, are invited to bring in their perspectives and ideas and actively participate in the design of a sustainable future. If you are interested, you should not hold back - the meals are secured and the discussions promise exciting insights into the challenges and opportunities of climate policy.
