In the summer of 2025, the Eichstätter journalism students won big at the J-Cup in Dortmund - and with a very special team dynamic. While the active student team took second place under the name “Porno Journos”, the alumni team deservedly secured first place in the alumni tournament. The striker Aidan Pendred was able to grab the top scorer and underlined the good performance of the Eichstätter team.
In addition, the J-Cup not only included exciting games, but also valuable encounters and exchange opportunities among the many participants. A total of around 200 young journalists, students and volunteers from all over Germany were there and didn't miss this opportunity to shine both athletically and socially. Muse and rousing hip-hop performances ensured successful entertainment during the tournament, which was under the patronage of Prof. Michael Steinbrecher.
