The anticipation of this year Poinger folk festival is noticeable! From July 11th to 20th, the idyllic community of Poing will once again be the scene of a colorful spectacle. This year the folk festival promises a particularly festive atmosphere with a musical fireworks display, which will be the crowning finale on Sunday, July 20th at 9:45 p.m.
The start of the festival is ceremoniously celebrated: On Friday at 5 p.m. the parade begins with bands, carriages and local clubs from Poinger Hauptstraße to the festival site at Hanslbrunn. At 6 p.m. the time has come – Mayor Thomas Stark taps the first barrel of the tasty export beer from the Schweiger brewery in Markt Schwaben. The “Funny Finsinga” provide the musical opening and get the festival visitors in the mood.
Attractions and highlights
Anyone who thinks that folk festivals are boring is seriously mistaken. The Poinger Volksfest has a lot to offer! A new, fast-paced ride, the Music Express, provides adrenaline rushes, while classic attractions such as the bumper car or cotton candy are a must for younger visitors. The popular family days and special days such as “Company Day” and “Volunteering and Senior Citizens Day” are also celebrated as special program items.
On Monday, July 14th, there is a great offer for the kids: At the “Pay 1, ride 2” corner, little guests can enjoy two rides for the price of one. A reception will also be organized for the seniors on Tuesday, July 15th, from 11 a.m. - a nice sign of appreciation for the older generation.
Celebration and commitment together
The community's commitment is also reflected in the volunteer reception, which will also take place on Monday, July 14th at 7:30 p.m. The valuable work of the volunteers who make a significant contribution to the success of the festival is recognized here. For relaxed planning, it is recommended to make table reservations, especially if large groups want to take part.
